Myst is also the first thing that comes to mind anytime I see The Witness. Many fond memories of that game back when I was Kindergarten. I really hope that this game gets Oculus Rift support down the road.

Microsoft's features for the Xbox One seem to be heavily catered for the US market. I really wonder how much of these TV features will be utilized given the different tastes and licensing agreements abroad.
The Kinect will have to become a lot smarter to push that kind of BS on me. I would just turn the Kinect so that it only faces one person when there is a group.
I would be happy with that if they bundled it with rechargeable batteries. Best of both worlds even if they are a bit larger than normal rectangular lithium ion batteries that are placed in electronics.
@mega31
I have to agree that the implementation of the TV stuff was slick. Smart TVs in theory should be able to do most of the stuff Xbox One showed, but their implementation in practice is severely limited and under-powered. Watching my roommate use the fantasy league integration on his Vizio is painful. There is no reason why that app should be so slow in 2013.
I wish Google could kick up their game and get television makers to place decently powered an...
@ricochetmg
Many of the features are null if you don't have a cable box also (like me).
I didn't realize how big of a room was required when I bought my Kinect last year. The Kinect couldn't even begin to see me unless I was standing on my bed. I had to move it to my living room only to discover I still needed a bit more room for comfortable movement. I hope they have decreased the minimum range with the new iteration of Kinect.
Don't forget Quantum Break from Remedy.
Edit: Thwarted by coolbeans =P
That's kind of what I thought. All the tech blogs are always going on about how streaming and the internet will be the death of TV. I am such an example as I have't watched a show on the television in probably 10 years. If there is something I want to watch, it will happen on the computer rather than the TV.
I have to give it to Microsoft though for attacking television at an angle no one has done before. I can see my football loving roommate loving the NFL fantas...
Never been a big fan of COD, but I am willing try out Ghosts to inspect the progress they have made since Modern Warfare 2 (last one I played). The setting looks a little more inventive, so I'm interested.
The Remedy game was one thing that caught my attention, but they didn't reveal too much about it.
I like the integration they showed, but I stopped caring about TV a long time ago. The Xbox One will have appeal, but they seem to be going for a broader appeal ( sports, TV, COD-type games). I know my roommate despite saying he wouldn't buy the next Xbox will buy one simply for the NFL fantasy league integration. I never have understood the appeal of sports...

You mean DDR3. GDDR3 is old.
Shoot, I never realized I was such in such a minority when it came to the glossy vs. matte debate.
Do people like glossy devices simply because of their look? I have always taken the more functional stance that matte hides blemishes and dust more easily along with not reflecting unwanted light for screens and the alike.
Edit: I forgot to mention glossy is a fingerprint magnet.
I see what you are saying, but Sony already has done that with the reveal back in Feburary. Sony showed off a bunch of games already. The only thing Microsoft will be doing differently is showing the console also.
I doubt saving the console reveal for E3 won't eat too much time out of their presentation. I bet Sony will take the approach of showing games for the PS3 at the beginning, then the Vita, and finally more games for the PS4 before ultimately revealing what the...
I doubt it. Sony has had continuous good press for the past few months while Microsoft has had to deal with negative press for sometime due to rumors. Microsoft's next console might be amazing, but that doesn't change the fact that Sony has months of mind share already.
Also Sony will be the last to reveal stuff at E3 because their conference is after Microsoft's. So they managed to be the company that had both first and final words when it comes to reveals. T...
The glossy finish is the one thing I hate about my 60Gb PS3. Glossy finishes only look good for the first minute until it begins collecting dust. You want to wipe it off but you know you are only introducing scratches to its surface, so you abstain.
Don't want on my TV. Don't want it on my computer. Don't want on my screen.
Glossy sucks. Long live matte.
Auron's textures appear to look worse in the remaster, but that might just be because he is farther from the camera. Conversely, going closer to the camera we see Lulu looks even more stunning. =P
I don't think it will be as clear cut as it was for Microsoft at the beginning of last generation. The landscape of last generation was a combination of Microsoft rushing to the market, Sony coming off the PS2 high, some early exclusives, non-parity of early third party games, and locking people into Xbox Live (as in they are invested in the ecosystem).
Even when Microsoft faltered early last generation (RROD issues) they still looked like they were invested in the fight...
Debatable. One guitar can last a lifetime. One game can last 6 hours. =P
